After a crash in the wee hours of the morning, two men have perished and two teens have critical injuries.

Following reports of a crash, emergency personnel raced to Chillingham Road in Heaton, Newcastle Upon Tyne this morning (September 26) around two in the morning.

Two male passengers, ages 26 and 30, were riding in a silver Mercedes 250 AMG when it struck a wall.

Despite suffering severe injuries, the two were tragically declared dead not long after.

The other two passengers in the car, two 19-year-old women, were sent to the hospital to get treatment for significant but non-life-threatening injuries.

At this point, they are still in the hospital.

Officers are now requesting that anyone with knowledge about the crash get in touch with them.

“This is an extremely sad incident and our thoughts are firmly with the families and loved ones of the two people who have tragically died,” said Sergeant Andy Ferguson of Northumbria Police’s Roads Policing Unit.

“They are being supported by specially trained officers, and we will help in any way we can.”

“A full investigation into the cause of the collision is now underway and a number of enquiries have been carried out,” Sergeant Ferguson continued.

“I would urge anyone with information that could help with our inquiry to get in contact.
