Following a three-vehicle collision on the A9 near Kingussie yesterday afternoon, two people are in critical condition.
At around 1:55 p.m., a white Ford Focus and a white Peugeot Boxer heading north collided with a southbound navy Volvo XC90.
Both the 63-year-old female passenger and the male driver of the Volvo were transported by ambulance to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, where they are currently receiving treatment for serious injuries.
The other two car’s drivers didn’t need on-the-spot medical attention.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have dash-cam footage of the incident,” stated Road Policing North Sergeant Calum MacAulay.
“Information can be passed to officers via 101. Please quote incident number 1829 of Sunday, 8 September 2024 when calling.”
The road reopened around 9pm last night.
