This afternoon (Saturday, October 12), there were numerous lane closures due to a vehicle fire on the M1 in Leicestershire. Two lanes on the M1 southbound exit slip had been closed at junction J22, close to Coalville and Ashby, according to Highways England.
Traffic information service, Inrix reported that the exit slip road was partially blocked as emergency services dealt with the incident. Traffic cameras showed traffic in the area building up.
