Swansea City hosted the Robins at Fairwood on Saturday afternoon

On Saturday, Swansea City played a friendly match behind closed doors against Swindon Town.

The match was played at Swansea’s Fairwood training complex, and the home team won 3-1.

Luke Williams’ team won thanks to goals from Matt Grimes, Liam Cullen, and Mykola Kuharevich. Jaxon Brown gave the Robins a point.

Ben Cabango and Joe Allen, two first-team players, were among the players Williams started with minutes under their belts.

In the thirteenth minute, Cullen gave Swansea the lead by latching onto a cross from Ronald. Allen came closest after that, but he was stopped by a Josh Key cross.

Ollie Cooper stumbled in the box, and captain Grimes scored right away.

At the half, Williams made significant changes. Kristian Pedersen was given some playing time, while John Bostock, who trains with the team to stay fit, was given a runout.

The visitors’ Brown attempted a long-range effort to equalise Nathan Broome’s goal, but Kuharevich secured the win with a left-footed strike in the 71st minute.

Gonçalo Franco, a recent addition, attended the game to watch his new teammates play, but it came too soon for him.

“Pre-season has started and I’m going to get prepared to the best of my ability, so I am ready to help the team,” he declared when he arrived at the club yesterday.

“I’m excited for the opening game I’m motivated to work hard against Middlesbrough because I need to get off to the best possible start to the season.

“I am delighted with the reception I have received from the supporters, and I assure them that I will always exert every effort to assist the team and the club in winning, as this is the primary reason fans attend games.”

Josh Key, Ben Cabango, Filip Lissah, Josh Tymon, Matt Grimes, Joe Allen, Ollie Cooper, Ronald, Azeem Abdulai, and Liam Cullen are the Swansea City players that played in the first half.

Nathan Broome, Kyle Naughton, Harry Jones, Kristian Pedersen, Sebastian Dabrowski, Joel Cotterill, Jay Fulton, John Bostock, Liam Smith, Cameron Congreve, and Mykola Kuharevich are the Swansea City players from the second half.
