Celebrity chef claims that following an incident in Connecticut, wearing a helmet saved his life.
Following a really bad bike accident in the United States, Gordon Ramsay expressed gratitude for his survival.
The well-known chef claimed that following the Connecticut crash, donning a helmet saved his life.
He posted pictures of a crushed helmet and damaged clothing on Instagram, along with a massive purple bruise that looked to cover a good chunk of his chest.
Saying, Hey guys, it’s Gordon, was Ramsay, 57. I want to talk to you all about something really important. You are aware of my passion for cycling, triathlons, Ironman competitions, and other such events. Unfortunately, I had a rather serious accident this week, which really rattled me, and I’m grateful to still be alive.
I had wonderful care this week from the amazing trauma surgeons, doctors, and nurses in the hospitals, but you really have to wear helmets.
It doesn’t matter if the trip is short. I’m not bothered. These helmets are expensive, but even for a child’s little trip, they must be worn currently.
I’m fortunate to be in this position. I’m hurting. This week has not been kind. And I’m managing to get through it.
In the brief video, which he shared on Saturday with his 17 million Instagram followers, Ramsay’s hands could be seen shaking.
He added, I am a bit bruised up looking like a purple potato, but I am doing OK and did not break any bones or suffer any major injuries, to the post.
He continued by saying that the helmet had saved his life while receiving care at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London, Connecticut.
Originally from Johnstone, Scotland, which is close to Glasgow, Ramsay rose to prominence on British television twenty years ago and is now one of the most famous chefs in the world.
In addition to being the star of the most recent US season of Next Level Chef, he runs a number of restaurants in both the US and the UK.
