The Somerset Disabled Cricket Club defeated Gloucestershire to start their Southwest D40 League campaign with style. The Somerset innings was held together by Jack Smith and Jacob Lunn, but they were eventually dismissed for 114.
Although the total seemed low, the tough quality of the pitch was demonstrated by Gloucestershire’s reply, as their openers were removed by Cameron Smith and Jack Smith. Ultimately, tight bowling and excellent fielding helped Somerset win by 30 runs.
