It’s time for another Love Rugby League Q&A, covering everything from the greatest concerns affecting the sport to transfer news around the Super League and the Championship.

We requested your questions regarding anything pertaining to rugby league, and it should come as no surprise that transfer news is at the top of the list. Based on our current understanding of the game, we have selected the finest questions and made an effort to respond to them.

The Bulls were close to finalising an agreement to re-sign Halifax Panthers half-back until 2025, as we disclosed last week. I have been informed that the agreement is almost finalised.

Bradford appears to have identified Keyes and Jordan Lilley as their ideal half-back combination for 2025, which could have implications for additional players in their present first-team lineup.

The Bulls also intend to sign Jake Maizen, and as previously said, Matty Gee of Halifax is another player that is very much in the mix at Odsal. The Bulls are getting set for 2025, but they are expecting to lose a few important players. I have heard that Mitch Souter is someone who is highly interested, which is not surprising considering his background.

We have verified the truth of the Bateman rumour, as we disclosed last week. But according to sources, Trinity has at least one more “major” deal scheduled for 2025. My guess is that they won’t finalise it until closer to the announcement of the IMG gradings.

They do, however, have the funds and cap space to conduct additional operations. However, I realise that they might wait to use that quota place until the 2025 season starts because players from Australia frequently become available late in the preseason.
Trinity has not yet revealed the identities of Cam Scott, Matty Russell, or Oliver Russell.
