Watford’s pursuit of Le Equidad midfielder Élan Ricardo appears to be progressing swiftly.

On Thursday, we discussed initial reports from Colombia, which indicated that the Hornets are the most interested in the teenager.

As journalist Pipe Sierra reports on new developments in this case, he supports Ricardo’s entourage’s position, and it appears that there is a genuine effort to bring him to Vicarage Road.

According to reports, the player’s representatives indicate that a transfer to Watford is ‘not certain’.
Nonetheless, Ricardo’s entourage acknowledges that ‘there is a discussion’ taking place, despite the fact that personal terms have yet to be settled. It is also stated that another club is participating in the competition.

This update is actually fairly shocking, considering previous reports from Colombia did not suggest that the conversations had progressed to the point that his team could now disavow an agreement.

Sierra is typically correct when it comes to Colombian player moves, so it appears that Watford has begun discussions for the 20-year-old. We will now wait for more information on how much the Hornets could pay to bring him to England during the summer transfer window.
