Nothing seems strange about the death.
The discovery of a man’s body in a Wellingborough small brook prompted the opening of an investigation.
Around 10.25 a.m. on Christmas Eve, emergency services were called to Brickhill Road and a cordon was put up.
The man, in his 40s, died mysteriously, but the police do not believe it to be suspicious. Instead, they plan to do an extended post-mortem examination.
“Emergency services attended Brickhill Road in Wellingborough after a man’s body was found in a shallow stream at about 10.25am on Saturday,” a spokesman for Northamptonshire Police stated.
“An inquiry into the man’s mysterious passing is still ongoing. It isn’t regarded as suspicious, though.
“Over the next few days, an enhanced post-mortem is scheduled to occur.”
