Shilen Patel and his father, Dr Kiran C. Patel, have 87.8% shareholding in the club.

Shilen Patel, a Florida-based businessman, and his father have finalised an agreement to acquire ownership of West Bromwich Albion Football Club.

The deal, reportedly valued at £60 million, gives Bilkul Football WBA, LLC an 87.8% majority stake in the team.

The takeover was finished on Wednesday afternoon after being authorised by the EFL earlier in the month.

I am thrilled and humbled to become the new custodian of West Bromwich Albion Football Club,” declared Shilen Patel.

Today is the start of an exciting project to help the club become a regular fixture in the Premier League again.

Achievement does not happen overnight, but my goal is to capitalise on the team

‘s past and present accomplishments and encircle West Bromwich Albion with excellent domestic and international stakeholders.

I also have the good fortune to be carrying on The Albion Foundation’s outstanding work both here and internationally.
