The management of teenage star Lachlan Galvin contacted the Wests Tigers earlier this week to request an early release, according to Wests Tigers CEO Shane Richardson.

Galvin, one of the NRL’s top rookies, has been a standout player for the Wests Tigers during yet another terrible season that has seen them drop to the bottom of the standings.

Nevertheless, even if his contract with the team runs until the end of the 2026 campaign, the 18-year-old sensational playmaker might not stay for very long.

Isaac Moses, Galvin’s manager, contacted the team on Thursday to request an early release, according to confirmation from The Daily Telegraph.

The next day, according to The Daily Telegraph, Galvin was heard expressing his desire to leave the Wests Tigers following their dreadful performance, which saw them give up 56 points to the Dragons on Friday night.

“We do not intend to release him,” Richardson stated to the news source.

That is all there is to it.Although I’m disappointed that the request was made, his parents and I will be meeting the following week.

“I believe there are numerous causes for it. We’re not winning games, he’s a young child, and he’s having trouble.

All I can say is that Jarome Luai, Api (Koroisau), and Jahream Bula will be joining us in the spine early next year.

“We intend to hold Lachlan to the terms of the contract we have in place.”

A day after it was revealed that Galvin had been playing with a fractured hand for the previous month, reports stated that he requested an early release from the remaining portion of his contract.

Wide World of Sports said on Wednesday that the Tigers have been trying to keep the five-eighth in the lineup without Aidan Sezer (suspension) and Latu Fainu (injury), therefore he has been injecting painkillers into his hand.

He played the full 80 minutes in the halves alongside Jayden Sullivan, despite the club’s understanding that his agent, Isaac Moses, wanted him rested for Friday’s game against the Dragons.
