The 20-year-old defender, who is from Aberdeen, where Shaun Maloney was raised, needed little convincing to sign a contract once he’d met the Latics boss, and Calvin Ramsay is hoping to build on a ‘instant connection’ with the Latics boss after joining on a season-long loan from Liverpool.
