Ben Jacobs claims that teams to keep an eye on in the competition for Wolves winger Pedro Neto’s transfer this summer include Arsenal, Liverpool, and Tottenham.

Large clubs appear to be vying for Neto after he excelled in the Premier League this season. Jacobs adds that suitors like Arsenal and Liverpool may have an advantage because Wolves may need to cash in on their valuable asset due to Financial Fair Play considerations.

“Pedro Neto is going to be in demand this summer and that should allow Wolves to stick to their asking price,” Jacobs remarked in reference to the Neto transfer issue. Since Neto’s contract expires in2027, bidders hoping to sign the 23-year-old in top form will have to pay Wolves’ high asking price.

Offers for more over £65 million are anticipated to be considered, but Wolves may demand as much as £80 million in the end. To date, no precise cost has been provided to interested clubs directly.

The one thing that teams like Arsenal and Spurs might have over Wolves is that, like many other Premier League teams, they will be mindful of sustainability and profit regulations.

“A summer sale is looking very likely, and Liverpool cannot be completely ruled out along with the two north London clubs.”
At wide-forward, both Arsenal and Liverpool already have some excellent offensive alternatives, so it’s unclear where Neto would fit in at Anfield or the Emirates Stadium.

Even though Neto has been excellent for Wolves, it’s difficult to see him starting more games than players like Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka, especially because LFC boasts elite players like Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz in those situations.
