Oli Morris, a former centre for the Worcester Warriors, has joined COVENTRY Rugby.
The 24-year-old, who participated in 34 games for the defunct Premiership team from 2019 to 2022, will join Alex Rae’s team when preseason training gets underway in early July.
Last season, Morris was a player for Ampthill, a team that Cov’s Championship rivals. Morris had previously played on loan from Saracens academy as a youth.

Morris stated: “I spoke with a friend of mine from Worcester, Matt Kvesic, and he was really positive about the culture and how much he loves it.

I’m thrilled to be a part of the incredibly entertaining rugby that Cov plays under the present coaching staff.

In addition, I think the team has a strong possibility of winning the championship, which is obviously appealing to me.
“It’s great to have Oli join the club,” Rae continued. This season, he has truly impressed me, and I felt he was Ampthill’s best player.

“With his Premiership experience, he will definitely strengthen our backline, and we’re eager to see what kind of growth he can bring.”

Morris also has Irish ties; he was chosen for his nation’s under-20 team in 2019 and was quickly signed by Munster following the Warriors’ defeat in October.
