James Johnston, a former player for the Worcester Warriors and Samoa, has joined the Rugbytots and RugbyKids coaching staff.
Johnston will impart his knowledge and love of rugby to young athletes in Worcestershire as a part of Rugbytots and RugbyKids, two of the top rugby play initiatives in the world for kids.
The powerful prop played for teams like Saracens and Harlequins during his illustrious career. He also represented Samoa in the Rugby World Cup.

“His vast experience and passion for our wonderful game will undoubtedly inspire the next generation of athletes in our community,” stated Eliot Langfield, head coach of Worcestershire Rugbytots and RugbyKids.

Johnston went on, “I’m thrilled to be a part of Rugbytots and to be able to share my passion for rugby with the kids in Worcestershire.”

“Rugby holds a special place in my heart, and I can’t wait to encourage the upcoming generation of players to love the game and learn valuable lessons like respect and teamwork, all while having a great time.”

Johnston will teach girls and boys ages one and a half to seven years old in fun and encouraging non-contact sessions as a Rugbytots coach. During these sessions, Johnston will introduce the players and their families to the foundations of rugby.

Along with coaching PE classes and after-school groups for kids in reception through sixth grade in primary schools, the rugby player will also introduce the game to nurseries and pre-schools.
