Wrexham needs to perform well away from home in a month where most games are played there if they hope to maintain their chances of earning automatic promotion to League Two.

Fortress Racecourse will host four of the six March games. On Saturday, Phil Parkinson’s team easily defeated Accrington Stanley 4-0 in the first half.

Other than that, everything went well, and after Tuesday’s games, which gave the third-place Reds a well-earned break, the table still looks good.

Wrexham’s away performance has drawn a lot of attention, and it will be examined again tomorrow when they visit The Mazuma Stadium to take on play-off contender Morecambe.

Regardless of the team’s road performance thus far this season, it looks to be a challenging test, but the players will be full of confidence after playing brilliantly against Stanley and having a week to rest.

The rematch in November saw Wrexham thrash Morecambe 6-0, but I’d be content with a close victory this weekend to support the away form and keep Wrexham in the running for a top-three finish.

OUR PREDICTIONS:

MORECAMBE 1 WREXHAM 1 NICK HARRISON

MORECAMBE 1 WREXHAM 2 RICHARD WILLIAMS

MORECAMBE 1 WREXHAM 1 SHAUN DAVIES

SCORES SO FAR… RICHARD WILLIAMS 39; NICK HARRISON 36; SHAUN DAVIES 35
