Ryan Reynolds has shown his dedication to Wrexham since the Hollywood takeover, as evidenced by his most recent action.

Although the supporters of Wrexham were apprehensive about the Hollywood takeover, owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have demonstrated their dedication to the team’s success.
With a pledge to preserve the club’s legacy and community, the Canadian actor has backed the organisation.

The Wrexham owners have a stronger bond with the fan base than do many other football owners.

To support the club and demonstrate their devotion to the fans, both actors frequently travel to the Racecourse.

With consecutive promotions up to League One football this season, Phil Parkinson’s and the fans’ trip has been quite the rollercoaster in recent years. Reynolds’ most recent admission shows his dedication to the causes he supports, especially in light of the Red Dragons’ recent success.

Reynolds has disclosed that he forwent his pay to keep the Deadpool project going in order to see it through to completion.

For the Canadian, it was a labour of love, and he was committed to the movie’s success.

Even though he wasn’t sure the movie would be a huge hit, he was prepared to put the project ahead of himself in order to make it work.

Reynolds stated, “I even gave up getting paid to do the movie just to put it back on the screen,” in an interview with the New York Times.

They wouldn’t allow my co-writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick on set, so I took the little salary I had left and paid them to be on set with me so we could form a de facto writers room.

“I think one of the great enemies of creativity is too much time and money, and that movie had neither time nor money.

“It really fostered focusing on character over spectacle, which is a little harder to execute in a comic-book movie.

“I was just so invested in every micro-detail of it and I hadn’t felt like that in a long, long time. I remembered wanting to feel that more — not just on Deadpool, but on anything.”

The Hollywood star’s revelation shows his commitment to the projects he believes in. It also shows that the actor is willing to put his business before himself if it is required.

Wrexham fans know too well about the difficulties of football ownership, with the club previously saved by financially the fanbase.
Since Reynolds and McElhenney have arrived they have shown total commitment to the club.

Despite the rapid rise, both owners have remained humble and continue to work on the project.

There is no guarantee that the Wrexham journey will always be as successful and smooth under the ownership, but, the latest gesture shows that the actor is willing to make sacrifices for the benefit of his projects.

With Wrexham fans eager for the future, Reynolds’s passion can only be a positive for the Red Dragons’ faithful.
