Paul Mullin scored his 100th goal for Wrexham against Colchester on Saturday, as the Welsh team pursues promotion to League One.
Mullin converted a wonderful cross from Ryan Barnett to level the score against Colchester after John Akinde’s opener. Mullin’s goal lifted his Wrexham total to a century, putting him joint-ninth all-time in goalscoring.
Mullin joined Wrexham in 2021, and he has scored 100 goals in only 129 appearances, an incredible feat for the 29-year-old. This season in League Two, he has 19 goals in 34 appearances.
Mullin has also been prolific abroad, with 56 goals in 36 games for Cambridge United prior to his move to Wales.
However, since arriving in Wrexham, he appears to have advanced to a higher level.
Wrexham have a brief turnaround before their next game against Crawley Town on Tuesday. Next Saturday, they’ll play Forest Green Rovers, who are at the bottom of the table.
