SEVEN people died when a mini-bus taking them to holiday flights from Airport was involved in an horrific four-vehicle pile-up on the M56.
The victims were four men, one believed to be in his teens, and three women. Two other passengers are in a critical condition in nearby Wythenshawe hospital.
Six other people suffered minor injuries, five have been taken to Stepping Hill hospital, one is being treated at Wythenshawe. None of their injuries are believed to be life threatening.
The Leyland DAF minibus is a courtesy bus making a regular journey to the airport from the Britannia Hotel on Palatine Road.
There were a total of 15 people on the minibus which included five parties and the driver.
