After a guy was discovered deceased in a flat building, four persons were taken into custody.

The guy in his 60s was discovered when police were called to Raglan Terrace in Yeovil, Somerset, on Sunday at around 19:00 BST.

Two of the four arrested males are fifty-year-old men who are being detained on suspicion of murder.

All four of them are currently in detention after another male, also in his 50s, and a lady, in her 40s, were detained on suspicion of aiding an offender on Tuesday morning.

“Our thoughts are with the man’s next of kin, who we were able to trace and update yesterday afternoon,” Acting Inspector Rose Green stated.

“When our inquiries advance, they will receive updates and assistance from cops with specialised training.

“The man’s unfortunate death is being investigated by our serious crime investigation team, and residents of the area should expect a greater presence while this work is being done.

“Although our investigations are still preliminary, we have taken four people into custody in order to gather information about what actually occurred.”

She also mentioned that these kinds of inquiries were “thankfully rare” in Yeovil, assuring the locals that the force does “not believe there to be any increased risk to public safety.”

Feel free to approach the officers and PCSOs on our high-visibility patrols to discuss any issues you may have with us,” the spokesperson stated.
